I figured it would also make sense to include the woman who’s responsible for Angela Shelton — literally! How many mom’s are so awesome that they’ve had heart-felt movies written and created about the lessons learned while in their care?

Mother of Angela Shelton, Joann Shelton enjoys writing, she’s an avid dream journalist, a birder, an artist, and she enjoys meanders in search of wildflowers. She’s been asked many times if she is an artist to which her reply is, “My life is Art.” She’s published a couple of articles and has kept a dream journal for 20 years. A native to the Smoky Mountains, she left them when she was thirty saying she would never return at the time, but “Never say never” as she’s been back for seven years now. Angela’s movie “Tumbleweeds” is based on the true story of the time spent with her mother traveling across the U.S. Joann spent most of the time in between on the West Coast from San Diego, to LA, to Seattle, then NH, coming full circle with returning back to her birth place of the Cherokee National Forest. Joann is Angela’s events manager — she’s go-to lady for anyone interested in booking Angela for an event. An entrepreneur at heart, Joann’s worked in new home sales, spa management, and as a buyer for a bicycle company. Joann’s been writing her own autobiography and discovering many more things about herself. She’s stated of her experience that “It seems everything happens for a reason and I am being continually guided toward my true self, whether I’m aware of it or not. I contemplate daily and focus on seeing the joys of life in the smallest events.”
