Now introducing our Army’s national “Manager”, Diann Diaz!

I can’t say enough about this amazing woman! I had the honor to first work with Diann on making the Columbus, OH 2008 Report IT Campaign a success this past April (more on the Report IT Campaign later). She shares my life’s passion as being an advocate for all victims of violence. As a sexual assault coordinator for her communities crisis center, she educates students and the community on violence prevention. Her goal is to help as many people as possible to break their silence and show them to their path of healing. She is a mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend, and animal lover (especially horses!). In her own words, “I am one of Angela Shelton’s Angels. I have wings. I use my wings to soar from location to location to spread information to BREAK THE SILENCE of abuse and PREVENT VIOLENCE. I also use my wings to comfort children, or give someone strength when they want to file a report. Often times, feathers from my wings are removed to create new wings for individuals for their journey to begin. I love that!”
To find out more about Diann check out her blog at www.dianndiaz.blogspot.com and be sure to subsribe to it. I highly suggest watching a video of a speech she gave here.
